I want to give users points for different tasks they complete on my site. How do I add a new method (eg. When someone adds uploads a photo for a competition)

It would also be great to be able to manage the reputation point for each user. Add or remove from the admin panel.

Hello Michael,

Working on improved reputation system will be available in 2.2.0.2.

Yes you can. Check AnsPress -> reputation
