Custom fields in user profile

Hi, I’m keen to purchase the AskBug theme. However, we would like to heavily customise the user profile area by adding a few custom fields and these fields would be use later to control the display of avatar display in the single Question page.

I would like to know whether it is possible to use third party plugin to add custom fields to user profile and AskBug theme would still be able to display this in the user profile page?
