Anspress 4.0.2 – Still bugs

Hi. I upgraded to 4.0.2 via WP.org this morning, and all of the addons disappeared – and my site stopped working. I ended up cloning from GIT again, which resolved the issues – you might want to have a look at that.

In addition, there are still a number of bugs

1. The notifications on my system shows 10 unread. These cannot be found anywhere. I’ve reported this on numerous occasions, and even provided screenshots – see https://anspress.io/questions/question/notifications-in-v4-of-anspress/ which remains unanswered
2. The documentation for this project is lacking – it is not clear as to what changes have been made between v3 and v4 – I am a developer, and it’s very frustrating to have to review lines of code when there should be adequate documentation for it – particularly as you are targeting developers !
3. I paid for a full version of Askbug, which incidentally, contains a number of bugs. I’ve never been able to get to my downloads page to get another copy of the last version, despite having paid $50 for the facility. Despite numerous attempts at getting this resolved, this still does not work

Seriously, if you release a product as good as this, ensure that the documentation is up to scratch. This has massive potential, but is dragged through the mud by poor practice which isn’t painting you or the product in a very good light. I am seriously considering writing my own version of this (it won’t be a fork) as there are so many errors that need addressing.

Hello,

I was still working on SVN commit while you reported this issue. I started pausing to wp.org an hour ago. Please try now.

Bugs you have reported are already in my list but it will be fixed in next release. I am adding a new page for re-counting all, votes, reputation, notification and subscriptions. As it is a big task so need some time.

I will re-check your access to download AskBug. You’ll receive an email again.

Thanks
