Adding articles to AskBug?

Hi,

I would like to create a q&a site using askbug.  I love how the theme looks but would like to include “articles” – content that I write (posts) that is not a question or answer.

How difficult (or easy) would it be to include a preview or two of featured articles on the current askbug homepage?  Would I also be able to include text on the home page that displays the number of articles with a link to the list?   Lastly, can users who are already logged in comment on these articles?

Thank you.

Hello,

Yes you can. This can easily added by using a widget or you can override homepage code and add a loop to show your desired posts.

Yes, logged in user can comment.

Thank you for the response.  A few more pre-sales questions…

  1. If I would like to integrate a careers/job section to the website using a plugin like WP Job Manager, will it be easy to integrate into the existing Askbug theme?  And will it be possible for users already plugged in (using their askbug profile) to apply to advertised jobs.  And can a logged in user see which jobs they applied to privately?
  2. If a user comments on an article, not a question/answer content (see above) will that be listed in their askbug user profile activity stream?
  3. When resetting a password, the script only asks the user to enter their new password once.  Would it be better for askbug to ask them to enter it twice?
  4. Is there support for two factor authentication and to force users to login using ssl?
  5. Is it possible for a user to enter their comment or answer in the form of synatx/source code?  (ie; response is development code that uses proper syntax and is a font like courier.)
  6. Is it possible when visiting a category page (ie; site.com/category/java) for both multiple content types to be listed on this category page?  (ie; askbug questions, articles, and jobs?)
  7. Does purchase of the theme include support via email?

Thanks again!
