Did you think to link reputation to permission?

Hello,
Did you think to link reputation and permission?
For instance, if you reach some step of points, 100 for instance, you can earn the negative vote capacity.
And when you get more points you can moderate questions etc…
I see this kind of possibility in Q2A CMS but I think some others sites offer this kind of feature.
